One of my most treasured possessions in high school and college was an olive-drab-colored six-ring binder just a little larger than a three-by-five card. It held my “Favorite Quotations.”
On the binder’s lined loose-leaf pages, I copied at least a couple hundred sayings that spoke to me, captured something I was thinking, provided direction for my life or motivated me.
Today, my bookshelves hold numerous volumes of quotations compiled by others, and quotes on “dreams,” “determination,” “destiny” and more are as close as the nearest Internet connection.
I still smile when I stumble across a new quote that moves me or an old one that takes me back. Quotes cause me to muse. In these posts, I’ll share the ones that do and the musings they elicit.
